Appearance
Located on the 4th floor of Terminal 2, this ramen shop appears in black and dark brown color combo! The shop’s name is also written in Kanji and English alphabets so it is very easy to find.
What’s more interesting is the glass food display that exhibits some of the recommended menus that look like real noodle bowls.
Menya Kookai is one of the favorite restaurants of most travelers in Narita Airport so expect queues from time to time.
Ambiance
The interior looks classy and resembles a fine-dining restaurant. I guess this concept is based on Narita Airport’s policy in providing classy and very comfortable restaurants for the travelers.
There are about 40 table seats in total so this shop can accommodate from solo diners down t groups, families, and couples as there are seats for two as well.
Expect to see more foreign customers than local ones in most of the days because this shop really becomes highly recommended by a lot of travelers from different countries abroad.
Recommended Menu
“Tonkotsu Ramen & Gyoza Combo”
The broth is a combination of pork chashu and chicken bones prepared in a longer time to bring out the best and most unique taste and fragrance into the soup. The thicker soup and the perfect-slurpy noodles are so satisfying and add up to the ramen’s signature taste.
Shio (salt) ramen and Gyoza are also highly recommended from this restaurant. IF you are looking for a richer taste of dumplings, then you might as well want to try this one out.

Kids are also welcome so if you have little ones, this shop is one of the bests that you can find in Narita Airport.
