Appearance

The simple strokes of the restaurant’s name written in hiragana are truly not difficult to read if you have basic knowledge about the Japanese language.

The exterior of the building is not sleek and modern-looking but it is still neatly maintained.

The place is famous so expect long lines especially during peak hours.

Ambiance

I love how clean the dining area is and it’s entirely different from what I imagined it to be.

There are about 24 all counter seats to accommodate the customers. Yes, it sure does have limited space and it’s best to dine here alone, or with a friend/co-worker or even on casual dates.

I wouldn’t recommend it for special family celebrations because of it’s narrow space.

Recommended Menu

Paikou Dandanmen

This is the famous Paikou Dandanmen for ¥1,000 and it is by far, the most recommended bowl in the house!

True to it’s name, the spiciness level will only give you a satisfying outcome after eating.
